This notice applies to Argonous and Argonous Web Studio, including argonous.com and websites.argonous.com. It explains the information we collect, why we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

We collect only the data necessary to respond to enquiries, deliver agreed services, maintain security, and operate the Argonous website.

  • Contact details that you share with us, including your name, email, company information, role, current website where supplied, and message content
  • Project, workflow, scheduling, and discovery-call information supplied through contact forms, intake forms, calls, or email
  • Technical server logs, including request timestamps, URLs, IP addresses, user agents, referrers, error data, and security events
  • Local site preferences, such as theme choice, where your browser stores them
  • Booking information processed through the owned Cal.diy scheduler, including selected time, attendee details, meeting metadata, and related email notifications

How We Use Information

We process personal data where necessary to take pre-contract steps, perform contracts, meet legal obligations, and pursue legitimate interests in secure business operations.

  • Delivering agreed services, including AI workflow, automation, product, advisory, and website strategy, design, development and separately agreed care
  • Responding to enquiries and taking steps at your request before an engagement; sending internal notifications and acknowledgement emails where configured
  • Coordinating discovery calls and scheduling workflows through Cal.diy
  • Monitoring security posture, preventing abuse, diagnosing faults, and ensuring service reliability through server logging

Service Providers

We do not sell personal information. Access is limited to authorised personnel and trusted providers that help us operate the website, email, scheduling, hosting, and contracted delivery.

  • Hetzner hosts our website application in Helsinki, Finland. Cloudflare provides website delivery and security through its international network.
  • Resend processes outgoing enquiry notifications and acknowledgement emails. Google Workspace provides our business email and related collaboration services.
  • Scheduler data may be processed by the Cal.diy application and its supporting database, email, hosting, and backup infrastructure
  • Access is limited to people and providers who need the information for the relevant service or business purpose.

Retention

How long we retain information depends on its purpose and any contractual, legal, security or dispute-handling requirements.

  • For enquiries, we consider whether the conversation is still active, when we last had meaningful contact, and whether it leads to an engagement.
  • For client and financial records, we consider the engagement, accounting and tax requirements, and whether records are needed to establish or defend legal claims.
  • Security and diagnostic records are assessed according to their usefulness for abuse prevention, fault investigation and service reliability. A legal hold or active investigation may require longer retention.
  • Contact us if you would like information about retention of a particular record or wish to exercise your data rights.

Cookies & Analytics

The website is configured for essential operation and security. We do not claim to run advertising cookies or non-essential analytics cookies on this site.

  • Essential cookies or local storage may be used for site preferences, scheduler operation, security, and service reliability
  • If non-essential analytics or marketing cookies are introduced later, this policy and any required consent controls must be updated first
  • Server logs are used for reliability and security; they are not the same as advertising or cross-site tracking cookies

International Processing & Transfers

Our hosting application runs in Finland. Our email, delivery and security providers may also process information elsewhere, including the United States. Hosting in Europe does not mean all enquiry or website data stays in Europe.

The providers’ data-processing terms describe the protections for these transfers. Depending on the provider and destination, these include adequacy arrangements or standard contractual clauses with the applicable UK provisions. You can contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data or how to obtain a copy.

Your Rights & Contact

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your personal data, restrict its use, and receive or transfer it. These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in data protection law. We will respond to requests within the applicable legal time limits.

Your right to object: You have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, including our business follow-up and security activities, on grounds relating to your particular situation. You can object to direct marketing at any time.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by contacting us. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not need to contact us first.
